Recently, the first series DMTO unit and the plant-wide tank farm of the Inner Mongolia Baofeng Coal-Based Olefins Project, for which the company was responsible for the design, successfully started up and produced qualified products. The project owner sent a letter of thanks to the company in recognition of this achievement.

This project is the largest single-site coal-to-olefins project in the world and the only one globally to use green hydrogen on a large scale to replace fossil energy in olefins production. As one of the primary design contractors, the company has undertaken the design tasks for three sets of 1000KTA DMTO units (including the DMTO unit and olefin separation units), one steam cracking unit, and the plant-wide tank farm, totaling 52 main design items. The core DMTO units utilize the DMTO-III technology developed jointly by the company and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Once fully completed, the project is expected to produce 3 million tons of olefin products annually.
