The Guangzhou Division of the 12th National Brand Storytelling Competition and the 9th Guangdong Province Brand Storytelling Competition, sponsored by the China Quality Association and hosted by the Guangdong Province Quality Association, were held in Guangzhou on July 31. The company formed a team to participate in the competition for the first time, and multiple works selected and sent won awards respectively. Among them, 2 speech works were shortlisted in the live competition that day and won the “potential level” award.

The theme of this competition was “Developing New Quality Productivity and Releasing New Brand Potential Energy”, with a total of 375 works received, including speeches, essays, micro-firms, and short videos. Zhang Yan from the Design and Management Department and Lin Zhihao from the Equipment Room delivered a speech, “Putting All Our Efforts into Hydrogen, with Love for the Tianshan Mountains” on behalf of the Kuqa Green Hydrogen Project, and Yi Jiazheng from the Quality and Safety Department delivered a speech, “Remembering the Commands, High-Quality Construction of Petrochemical Engineering” on the construction of Jiujiang and Zhenhai projects; both were shortlisted in the on-site competition on the day and won the “potential level” awards. Additionally, the submitted essay “Sinopec, My Pride” won the “competent level” award, and “Building Projects That Make Customers Proud, Being a Reliable Partner” won the “potential level” award; the micro-film work “Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Company 2024 Campus Recruitment Video” and “Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Enterprise Culture Promotion Video” won the “potential level” award; the short video “New Quality Productivity: Hydrogen” won the “competent level” award, and “Public Open Day” won the “potential level” award.

It is reported that this competition involves various industries such as electricity, communications, transportation, clean energy, machinery manufacturing, petroleum and petrochemicals, light industry textiles, food production, construction engineering, and information technology. A total of 45 speeches that passed the preliminary review entered the competition and competed on the same stage.
