On July 21, 40 teachers and students of Yexi Petrochemical Junior High School of Yuexi County, Anhui Province were invited to GPEC Head Office, to start a 6-day “Warm heart” research and learning activity. Party Committee secretary Han Weiguo and deputy Party Committee secretary Yang Hongbin of GPEC welcomed the teachers and students and distributed research and learning supplies for them. Yang Hongbin made a special group lecture for the teachers and students, and Yang Xudong, general manager of GPEC, made a special trip to visit the teachers and students and put forward requirements for logistics support work.

During the research and learning activities, the teachers and students visited Guangdong Petroleum Inspection and Verification Center and Nanyue Pearl Cultural Exhibition Hall of Guangzhou Petrochemical, and experienced on spot the arduous course of green and intelligent development of the petroleum and petrochemical industry; visited the Whampoa Military Academy, the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Youth League and the site of the 3rd National Congress of the CPC and other revolutionary sites, to deeply understand the heroic deeds and great spirit of the revolutionary ancestors; visited Chen Family Temple, Yongqing Fang and other ancient scenes of Xiguan, appreciating the profound Lingnan cultural heritage and artistic characteristics of Guangzhou; and they went to South China Agricultural University, to feel the profound academic atmosphere and scientific research spirit of the university.

At the end of the activity, the teachers and students said that they would leave the “Beautiful Bay Area” with good wishes, and continue to study hard when back to Yuexi, to pursue excellence and climb high peaks, and strive to become useful talents to the nation as soon as possible.
