On June 28, intermediate handover ceremony was held for the Mabianzhou Island Pipeline of ExxonMobil Huizhou Ethylene Raw Material Pipeline Project constructed with GPEC as EPC contractor. Main members of GPEC Project Management Department, Construction Management Department and Project Group and representatives of relevant contractors were present at the ceremony.
The project is the island section of the main pipeline for receiving and conveying naphtha raw material from seaport terminal to the main plant area of Huizhou 160×104t/a Ethylene Project, including the naphtha pipeline, ball launching station and other corresponding ancillary facilities. Since the work was started in August 2023, facing the difficulties of tight work schedule, heavy tasks, complicated underground conditions and inconvenient offshore transport, the project implementing team has adhered to the principle of “safety first, best quality and shortest schedule”, and carried out the special activities of “intense work for 100 days” to ensure realizing key milestones while strictly controlling the quality in the construction process. They carried out SSHE management according to the owner requirements, well arranged project safety management of both sides, achieved the vision goal of “zero injury”, and successfully achieved the intermediate handover of the project.
After the intermediate handover of the project, GPEC will cooperate closely with relevant entities in the site technical services in the principle of safety first and quality supreme, to ensure that the project will be smoothly put into operation on an early date.
