On May 30, an intermediate handover ceremony for the onshore works of the ExxonMobil Huizhou Ethylene Material Pipeline Project, undertaken by the Company as the engineering general contractor, was held. Attendees included Chen Fei, Project Execution Manager from ExxonMobil, and Yang Jie, Project Director from the Company. Representatives from various participating units delivered speeches, and the ceremony concluded with the signing of the intermediate handover certificate for the project.
The project serves as a supporting project to ExxonMobil's Huizhou Ethylene facility in Guangdong, primarily facilitating the transportation of naphtha feedstock for a 1600KTA ethylene cracking unit. Since its commencement in April 2023, the Company and all participating units have overcome a myriad of challenges, including intricate engineering interfaces, adverse construction environments, impacts from typhoons and heavy rainfall, and stringent timelines. We have remained steadfast in adhering to the project schedule and milestones, ensuring stringent welding quality standards, comprehensive implementation of project quality objectives, and strict adherence to ExxonMobil's safety principle of "Nobody Gets Hurt". We have bolstered SSHE (Safety, Security, Health, and Environment) management throughout the construction process, ensuring a safe and orderly project progression. Following over 400 days of close collaboration and overcoming obstacles, we have successfully fulfilled the construction mandate.
