According to an announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (No. 4 of 2024), the 11 petrochemical industry standards compiled with GPEC as the main were officially approved and published, and will be implemented as of October 1, 2024.

They include 6 new and 5 revised standards, covering disciplines of equipment, industrial furnace, and water supply and drainage. Among them, there are 5 standards for equipment, specifying the material, design and manufacturing requirements of petrochemical jet mixer, hydrogenation reaction distillate air cooler system, steel air cooled heat exchanger, pipe flanges and manhole flanges for high pressure hydrogen equipment, and steel mesh shell tops of vertical cylindrical storage tanks; 4 standards for industrial furnaces, specifying the design, manufacture and inspection requirements steel structure of tubular furnaces in petrochemical industry, light castable lining of tubular furnaces and air preheater for tubular furnaces; and 2 standards for water supply and drainage, setting the technical requirements on the design of petrochemical water supply and drainage pump stations, rainwater monitoring and accident drainage and storage facilities.

The publication and implementation of these standards will not only meet the needs in the development of the industry, but also increase the technological influence of GPEC in the construction of petrochemical projects.
