From March 28 to 29, the overall design of the 1.5mt/a aromatics and refining support transformation project undertaken by GPEC for Jiujiang Petrochemical Company passed review in Jiujiang. Leaders and experts from departments such as the Development Planning Department, the Science and Technology Department, the Refining Division, and the Chemical Division of the Group, representatives of the Jiujiang Company, party committee secretary Xie Daoxiong, and relevant personnel of the project, deputy general manager Liu Hui, national design master Zhu Huaxing, senior experts of the Group, heads of relevant disciplines of the Design Management Department, Process Department and Project Team, and representatives of related design and scientific research entities were present at the overall design review meeting.

The GPEC, as the overall design entity, reported on the overall design of the project. Experts and representatives at the meeting discussed and reviewed the overall design documents in detail in 8 groups, and fully affirmed the work of GPEC to complete with high quality the overall design documents for the whole plant in a short period of time. On behalf of GPEC, Liu Hui said that GPEC will cooperate with the owner in organizing relevant entities to fully analyze, conscientiously reply to, and report the opinions from the overall design review as soon as possible; it will give full play to the role of the overall engineering institute and the advantages of engineering technology, cooperate with the owner to well coordinate various design entities, to ensure fulfilling all key control points of the project construction on time and with high quality.

The approval of the overall design of the project marks that the engineering design and long-lead equipment procurement work will be fully launched soon, and the project construction will enter the fast lane.
