Recently, the “Hydrogen Energy Engineering Technology Development and Innovation Team” of GPEC was appraised as 2023 “Excellent Innovation Team” of Sinopec.
In recent years, the team has made industrial layout evolving around the hydrogen energy development plan, with focus on the production, storage, transport and refueling technology of high-quality hydrogen (purified and green hydrogen), to develop green hydrogen production technology, hydrogen storage and transport technologies and hydrogen refueling station related technologies, and gradually expand to the R&D of key and core materials, conveying technology and core equipment in the hydrogen energy industrial chain. The team completed the major hydrogen energy projects such as “Technical demonstration for 10000t class green hydrogen project and green hydrogen demonstration in refining and chemical plants” and “Development of MW class PEM hydrogen production and integration technology”, and the ten-dragon key projects such as “Technology to purify and supply hydrogen for fuel cell vehicles” and “Complete set of technologies for 35MPa/70MPa hydrogen refueling stations and combined oil-hydrogen stations”. The overall technology has reached the international leading level, and the technical achievements have been widely applied, providing important technical support for strengthening the supply of hydrogen energy, promoting the development of the hydrogen energy industry, deepening the implementation of fossil energy cleaning, scaled use of clean energy, and low carbonization of production process. Presently, the team is working at the key subjects of Sinopec such as “SOEC hydrogen production technology” and “Research on hydrogen energy storage and transport and engineering technologies”, making continual contributions to the transition and high-quality development of GPEC.
