On January 30, Wang Xiaowei, deputy general manager of GPEC, met with Mr. HACHICHI, president of SONATRACH. The two sides exchanged views on the implementation of the two EPC projects under construction by GPEC in Algeria, LNG and MTBE.

Mr. HACHICHI warmly welcomed Mr. Wang Xiaowei for his visit, fully confirmed the competence of GPEC and the implementation of the two projects, and hoped that the teams of both sides would continue to strengthen cooperation to ensure the smooth handover of the projects. Both sides also reached preliminary intent on further cooperation in the future.

Before the meeting, Wang Xiaowei went to the EPM headquarters of SONATRACH in Algiers to hold a high-level coordination meeting on the LNG project in Algeria with Mr. Sellami Mahdi, general manager of EPM.

At the meeting, reports were heard on the progress of design, procurement, construction and project management work, the two sides present at the meeting conducted in-depth communication and exchange on design finishing, materials delivery and site works, and reached unanimous intent on the key work items and plans of the next step of the project.
