On February 1, mechanical completion was smoothly achieved for the onshore section of ExxonMobil Huizhou Ethylene Raw Material Pipeline Project, constructed with GPEC as EPC contractor, and leaders of the owner, supervisor, EPC and construction contractors were present at the completion ceremony. At the ceremony, the owner leader issued the mechanical completion certificate to the EPC and construction contractors, and commended advanced entities and individuals. The GPEC was appraised as an “excellent contractor”.

The ExxonMobil Huizhou Ethylene Project is the first major petrochemical project built by an American company in China, and the raw material pipeline under construction is the only main line to supply raw material for the project, consisting of two packages, mainly conveying naphtha and other raw materials to the steam cracker.

After the work was started on site on April 17, 2023, facing the difficulties of tight schedule, heavy tasks and complicated interfaces, the project implementing team, under the energetic support by the GPEC leaders and relevant departments, made full efforts to meet the owner requirements on project construction with the aim of “win-win through cooperation and win-win to achieve common glory” and by adhering to “supreme safety, best quality and highest progress”, to ensure realizing all key control milestones in the schedule. Finally, the specified milestone of mechanical completion has been realized, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent project works.
