On April 4, the signing ceremony for the preliminary design contract for the terminal station of Jiangsu Huadian Ganyu LNG Project was held in Ganyu District of Lianyungang. The signing ceremony was attended by Wang Jiandong, CPC Committee secretary and chairman of Jiangsu Huadian Ganyu Liquefied Natural gas Co., Ltd., Lv Guofeng, the general manager, Shi Jingwei, the deputy general manager of the Company, and relevant personnel of the Market Department and Design Management Department.

The project is a key national natural gas infrastructure interconnection project promoted by China Huadian Group, and is jointly invested by British Petroleum (BP) and Huadian Jiangsu Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Huadian Group. The project is located in Ganyu Port District, Lianyungang City of Jiangsu Province, and includes a 217,000 cu.m. LNG ship unloading terminal, three LNG storage tanks of 220,000 cu.m. each and supporting facilities, and associated conveying pipeline of 25km. It is expected to be completed for operation in 2027.
