On May 19, the 2023 Annual Conference of MTO and Downstream Industrial Chain Green Development Alliance and Technical Exchange Conference sponsored by the Company was held in Luoyang Base. Present at the conference were Liu Zhongmin, member of the Standing Committee of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xie Yaping, senior vice president of Lianhong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Li Junjie, Party committee secretary and chairman of ChinaCoal Shaanxi Yulin Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. and representatives from over 20 scientific research institutes and enterprises, Company leaders Han Weiguo and Liu Hui, the alliance chairman Zhou Chengping, national design masters Zhu Huaxing and Liu Yu, the chief experts and related deputy chief engineers, supervisors, experts, and department heads of the Company.

It is reported that, DMTO, as a core technology developed by the Company in cooperation with Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences and other entities, has realized 31 plants with technology licenses in the past two decades, with a cumulative output of 20 million tons of olefin, equivalent to replacing 200 million tons of crude oil, providing a powerful support for ensuring national energy security. At present, a number of DMTO-Ⅲ industrial plants represented by Baofeng Group Phase III are under construction. At the end, Liu Yu, director of the Expert Committee of the Alliance, chaired the expert committee and exchanged views on the theme of “comparison of technologies related to methanol to low-carbon olefin”.
